Holidays

In the Netherlands, there are no mandatory days off. It comes down to either CAO (Collective Labor Agreement) which is not applicable, or the individual labor contracts.

Relevance

This page is applicable to employees with a full time contract, including interns. Part-time employees (side jobs) can work whenever it suits them, so they can choose to work or not during these holidays.

Interns, note there is no amount of holidays to deduct from. Leading here is the amount of days you’re supposed to work on your internship (usually 90 to 100).

Mandatory free days

The company closes down at some occasions. These days are also paid, however deducted from your yearly amount of holidays.
